Our Graduate Writing Consultant offers support for graduate students across all disciplines. Our goal is to help graduate writers express their ideas effectively, focusing on writing strategies and revision rather than editing.
We offer support in multiple ways:
One-on-one Consultations
Bring any academic writing project and collaborate with your Graduate Consultant on effective drafting and revision strategies tailored to your individual needs. Appointments are available in-person and via Zoom. Book your appointment here!
Accountabilibuddy Sessions (Accountability + Buddy)
An Accountabilibuddy session is a writing consultation in which the writer is shadowed by a writing consultant for the duration of their session. The consultant’s primary role is to hold the writer accountable for working on their reading, research, and/or writing and provide motivational support. Appointments are available in-person. Book your appointment here!
DANG! (Graduate Writing Group)
The Dissertation, Article, and Networking (DANG) Group is an accountability/writing group designed to support graduate students in advancing their degree progress. Graduate students are welcome to attend and work on any academic writing or research projects, including seminar papers, prospectus proposals, grants or fellowship applications, articles for publication, job market materials, dissertations, etc.
FALL 2024: DANG! meets every Thursday, 10:00 – 11:30 in the Teaching Commons (KL 316)
